Emi Miyoshi

Together with the Freiburg artist Jürgen Oschwald, the Japanese dancer and choreographer Emi Miyoshi explores new forms of interaction between installation and dance since 2016. The preliminary highlight of this cooperation was the performance MORINONAKA - in the forest about destroyed landscapes, which was awarded in October with the Dance and Theater Prize of the City of Stuttgart and the State of Baden-Württemberg.

The new production IN MY ROOM is now dedicated to the

dance and sculptural exploration of space.

The body and movement of the dancer react directly to the stage situation, which is permanently altered by Juergen Oschwald through objects and temporary sculptures. Impressive images with a variety of movement motifs emerge, which clearly illustrate the network of relationships and the multifaceted nature of the two protagonists. Often a small push is enough for the world to reveal itself to you.
